Hi, my name's Phil and I'm the Liberal Democrat Candidate for Clopton Ward for Town and District Council in the upcoming election on May 2nd 2019.
I moved to Stratford in 2012 after finishing a degree in Computer Science at the University of Warwick. I fell in love with the town instantly and knew I was going to put down roots here. I now live on the Birmingham Road with my wife, Jessica, and work for a software company on Timothy's Bridge Road.
I never thought I would get involved with local politics, however, after seeing the hard work of the Liberal Democrats locally, I decided to join and get stuck in. Initially, I thought I was best placed behind the scenes, but this shifted when I saw the positive changes serving on the front lines can bring.
I'm passionate about improving the town, to make it a wonderful place to live, and not just to visit. I'm also championing the younger generation, after seeing the positive impact they bring through the youth group I lead. If I'm elected I expect I'll be bringing down the average age of the council somewhat!
I firmly believe that everyone has something to offer, and everyone has something to give back. This is why I'm standing, and this is why I'm dedicating my time and energy to improve Stratford, whether I win or lose. Perhaps with your help, I can win.
