My name's Phil, and I'm a Liberal Democrat Town Councillor for Clopton, Stratford-upon-Avon. I was elected in 2019 and I'm pleased to be able to serve the residents of Clopton.
I moved to Stratford in 2012 after finishing a degree in Computer Science at the University of Warwick. I fell in love with the town instantly and knew I was going to put down roots here. I now live on the Birmingham Road with my wife, Jessica, and work for a software company on Timothy's Bridge Road.
I never thought I would get involved with local politics, however, after seeing the hard work of the Liberal Democrats locally, I decided to join and get stuck in. Initially, I thought I was best placed behind the scenes, but this shifted when I saw the positive changes serving on the front lines can bring.
I'm passionate about improving the town, to make it a wonderful place to live, and not just to visit. I'm also championing the younger generation, after seeing the positive impact they bring through the youth group I lead. I firmly believe that everyone has something to offer, and everyone has something to give back. This is why I got into politics, and this is why I'm dedicating my time and energy to improve Stratford.
